Our final #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay of 21/22 goes to a young man who takes pride in keeping our school clean! Appreciate his servant’s heart!

A reminder there will be a 2-hour Early Release tomorrow, May 19th, for the Last Day of School. Have a safe summer, Tigers! 🐾😎

Mrs. Tietjen nominated this young lady for a #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay for being exceptionally empathetic and caring! She has a unique ability of seeing situation and knowing just how to respond!

Today’s #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay goes to a young man who has really come out of his shell, stepping up to help organize his class every morning! It’s been awesome to see him take risks & grow this year!

While free meals for all students were a welcome relief during the pandemic, these benefits will end at the of this school year. When the pandemic hit, the federal government funded a program that allowed all students—even those who were not previously eligible—to receive free meals. However, recently they have declined to continue funding this program.
If your child qualifies for free or reduced meals, they can still receive them, but you must take action to make it happen! If you are concerned that you may not be able to afford school meal prices, we urge you to fill out an application for free or reduced meal benefits as soon as possible. You can find a copy of this application on our website or contact Chris Beach, Child Nutrition Director. The process is simple and can be done online, but Chris is happy to answer any questions you may have. The District is always available to support families, so think about what option is best for you, and let us know if there is any way we can assist.

Miracles for Mazie! The Liberty Community is invited to join us in supporting Mazie, a Kindergarten learner battling cancer. Wear a hat and/or pink on Wednesday, May 18 for $1 to show your support! Free will donations are welcome! Donations can be made via Venmo @HarrisburgLPTO

A huge shout out to this young man for his effort and perseverance working through the NWEA spring assessments! He made tremendous growth in math, which was a reflection of his hard work! Fun to share with mom for today’s #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay

Attention Liberty Families: Due to storms expected this evening, we are making some changes to the Science Fair so learners & families can get home safely ahead of the potential severe weather. Learners presenting projects may arrive beginning at 4:45p to set up their projects. The Science Fair presentations & judging will occur from 5-6p, with the event ending at 6p. Awards will be announced at school on Friday. Thank you for your flexibility and for supporting our amazing learners!

Congratulations to Liberty’s 2022 Youth of Character Award winners! These young people have gone above and beyond to do the right thing, even when nobody is watching! They are very deserving of this recognition! Congratulations! #LibertyPride

A huge thank you to @AirMadness and @SiouxFallsStorm for sponsoring FIVE Liberty families to attend this week’s Storm game! This was made possible because these learners and their families look for ways to show kindness in their homes and community AND we have amazing community partners who support our schools! #LibertyPride

Mr. Jordan noticed that this young lady went out of her way to make sure another friend was included at recess! Super proud of her for seeing a need and doing something about it! #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay

To all of Liberty's Moms, Moms to be & Mother figures - Happy Mother's Day!

Mrs. Fagerland shared that these two have, on so many occasions, done the little things to help lighten the burden of others. They show kindness without an expectation of repayment – they do it because it’s the right thing to do! #GoodNewsCalloftheDay
